Our Christmas Mantel 2011

The Christmas season is finally here, and, although it's been up for over a week, I feel like it's finally OK to show you my Christmas mantel!

The mantel is my favorite thing to decorate. I decided to go for simple (imagine that) and just placed a whole bunch of candles in jars and votives. I tied together some dried curly willow branches and hung them with a faux berry grapevine wreath from Target.

The mason jars are filled with epsom salt and tealights.

The Christmas card holder is a Pottery Barn knock-off I made this year. I'll show you how I did it in tomorrow's post.

I'm in love with the mantel, especially how beautiful it looks at night!

And for those of you who asked on this post, yes, I did rearrange the Christmas ornaments, and yes, the kids did notice. Bad mommy!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! I'll be back tomorrow with my PB knock off craft post, and then on December 1 we'll get that Printable Party started!!

What's your favorite thing to decorate for Christmas?

  1. It's absolutely beautiful! I already loved it in the day pictures, but it's simply breathtaking at night. Love all of the candles on top! I have been wanting to do something with epsom salt and this is just the thing! Thanks for the inspiration!
