The Joy Banner & A Giveaway (12 Days of Christmas Printables #1)

{This is Day One in a 12 part series of Christmas printables. Click here for the complete list. All printables are gifts of love from the designers for PERSONAL USE ONLY, and are not to be claimed as your own or sold for profit. Thank you.}

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Printables Party!!! I'm so glad you stopped by! My favorite part of creating new designs, is being able to share them with you for FREE.

Each day through December 12 a different printable will be available. In addition to the printables I have created, a few friends will be stopping by to share their creations with you throughout the party. There will be giveaways (hint: be sure to read this ENTIRE post) and a linky party on December 12 where you can show off how you used your printables and share your own!!!

Joy Banner

When I first started "pinning" for Christmas, this was one of the first photos I pinned. I loved its subtle, simple beauty. It just spoke the season to me.

*sidenote - The source says it's from 3 Meadow Lake Cottage, but it's not a direct link to the image, just the site, so if this is yours, please let me know so I can give proper credit. The hazards of Pinterest...

Ok, so back to "JOY." Here is my interpretation:

I've had some galvanized buckets sitting in my garage waiting to be used. They were intended as toy buckets for the playroom, but instead they became drums. So, out of the playroom and into the garage they went, awaiting their fate.

I created the "JOY" banner in Photoshop, printed and cut them out. I punched holes in the top and tied twine to the handle of one of the buckets and through the tags. I originally intended to use three buckets, but my steps are too deep.

I pulled my Christmas poinsettias out of storage and plopped the big one inside the bucket. Real ones would look nice on someone else's porch, but not on mine, because dead's just not pretty.

And there you go, subtle Christmas porch decor.

Ugh. I'd really LOVE to be able to get rid of that ugly security door!

Well, since this IS a free printable party, I've got some "JOY" for you, in your choice of red or black!

Click on the link above the image to be taken to the download.

  35. I would have to say I'd like a word/subway art. I've been wanting to make a gift for my friends who have a vacation home in FL...the last time we were there they kept telling us "This is not a bed and breakfast - get it yourself!" and I really wanted to make them a cute sign to hang up so they could just point. Either that or a fun quote to go on my poor bare wall in my living room...
