One Pan Double Chocolate Snack Cake

I found this chocolate cake recipe about ten years ago and made it several times. A few years went by and I remembered the recipe and wanted to make it again. Only, I couldn't find it. (This was before the invention of Pinterest - trust me, when you find something you like, pin it people!).

I searched and searched the internet and couldn't find it. I finally gave up.

Then about a week ago I was searching my Betty Crocker cookbook for a chocolate cake recipe, and there. it. was. Imagine my excitement!

Of course, I had to share it with you! It's such an easy recipe and you do it all in one pan.

One Pan Double Chocolate Snack Cake
1 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar or granulated sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp white vinegar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)
Powdered sugar, for dusting
1.  Heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix all of the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt with a fork in an ungreased sqaure pan, 8x8x2 inches.

Sire in remaining ingredients except chocolate chips and powdered sugar. Make sure to scrape the the edges and corners to incorporate all of the dry ingredients.

Sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before dusting with powdered sugar.

So easy, it's scary! A great quick snack when you want something chocolatey. And the best part - only one dish to wash.
