The BBC (Beginner Bloggers Club) - A New Series

***For more information on the series, and a complete list of participants, click here***

If you know Debbie from Debbiedoo's, you know she has always been a fabulous supporter of new bloggers. She even hosts a Newbie Linky Party for just that purpose. I wish I had known Debbie's blog when I first started blogging two years ago. It would have been wonderful to have the kind of support she has been offering to her "newbies."

The best part of blogging, for me, is the way we are able to lift each other up. Blogging is hard work, and so is getting your name out there. Linking to parties and hoping to be noticed. Following in the hopes of being followed back, and commenting in the hopes of receiving the same love.

I have been inspired by Debbie and I thought I'd reach out to any of my readers who may be new bloggers who would like to be featured on Simply Klassic Home! So I've started the BBC (Beginner Bloggers Club)!

I'm not a "super-blogger," and let's face it, most of us aren't. Some days I still feel like a "newbie." My goal is to support new bloggers and hopefully introduce you to someone you may not have met otherwise.

The thought behind the series is to gather some new bloggers who might have questions about blogging, and get them answers as well as featuring their blogs. During the month of April, I'll be featuring several different beginner blogs, as well as sharing tips and advice from some of my favorite seasoned blogger friends (I'm so excited!!!):

Roeshel @ The DIY Showoff

Bonnie & Trish @ Uncommon

Gwen from Gwenny Penny

Denise from Pink Postcard

Pamela from PB&J Stories

Do you have a new blog that you would like to have featured? The criteria to be considered "new" (stolen borrowed from Debbiedoo's) is:
  • blogging for less than six months and/or
  • less than 100 followers
Basically, if you still feel like a "new blogger" and want to be featured, I want to feature you! I welcome you to contact me if you would like to be featured. Be sure to include the following information:
  1. Your name.
  2. Your blog URL.
  3. A few links to your favorite posts.
  4. A brief bio of you you and your blog.
What do you think? Do you want to be a part of the BBC?

UPDATE - The BBC is currently full for the April series. But I would still love to feature you, so please still email me your information! If there's enough interest I will keep this as a weekly series after the month is over.

I would love it if you could help spread the news about the series - Grab a button from my sidebar, and if you have a blogging question feel free to leave it in the comments and I'll see if I can get it answered for you!

Don't forget, Simply Klassic Sunday will be up tomorrow night!

  2. I think this is such a great idea. I would loved to have had something like this when I first started, which really wasn't that long ago. It's been about a year and a half, I think. I don't think I will ever be a "super" blogger, but am so happy and thankful for each person that follows me and for the one's I follow Look forward to sharing this time with you, Kristin.

  5. I love that you're doing this, Kristin. I've been blogging for less than a year (though I no longer fit your criteria for participation) and have found it to be even more rewarding than I expected. But, I agree, it's hard work and there's so much to learn. There are a lot of newbies as well as veterans who will looking forward to what you and your guest bloggers can share with us.

  6. Hi Kristin! Thank you so much for doing this series. It is so nice to have others who are willing to share and help us newbies figure out the crazy "bloggy" world. I wanted to message you my info but can't get your contact button working for some reason... Would you mind emailing me back so we can chat more? I added your button to my page too :)

  9. What a fabulous idea. I have only been at this for a little while, and was totally lost for so long. I feel like I have learned so much in the past few months alone, and wish I could share that with newer bloggers who are frustrated and want to quit! If you ever need any extra help with this endeavor, I would love to lend a hand!

  14. I would love to do this. Have only linked 2 times and not sure if I go it right. I started blogging at the end of 2011 and I just had a drawing for 50 followers. I gained 8. Yey me! Thanks for thinking of us newbies. I want to join. Tell me what to do.

  17. Getting ready to start my blog, scared to death reading everything I can find... my biggest obstacle so far is to come up with a catchy name! A friend and I paint vintage furniture and such we have a facebook page Savannah's House but that name is not available as a domain name! So that is my hold-up so want to get started so I can follow...
