Stuffed Pizza Bites

It was quite a weekend here at the Simply Klassic Home. My water heater was gushing water all over my garage floor when I came home late Saturday night. Thank goodness for my helpful neighbor who came over right away and helped me get it shut off, then came back and installed the new one on Sunday.

This is the first major catastrophe I've had as a home owner. Almost made me wish I could go back to renting!

However, despite that little mishap, I still managed to make a yummy recipe that I had pinned a few weeks ago. (remember my goal of making at least one pin a week?).

I'll give you a quick run down of the instructions, but you can find the original recipe here.

My kids and I ate the whole pan. The kids gave this recipe a thumbs up!

I did too - it was super easy, and a much less greasy take on traditional pizza. Basically it's just refrigerated pizza dough, which you roll out and slice into 24 squares. Add your fillings to each square (no sauce - though I don't think it would be a bad thing) and then pinch them closed, placing them seam side down in your greased pan. Brush on some olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

I used Italian sausage and mozzarella to stuff my pizza bites. Next time I'll add more cheese, but for the most part, I wouldn't change a thing! I just served them with a little leftover spaghetti sauce on the side.

I didn't have much time for completing projects this week but I've got another recipe that I'll share with you next time. AND I've got a couple of surprise guests lined up, so be sure to check back later in the week!

  5. Ugh! I HATE our water heater! We have some weirdly wired one that desperately needs to be expensively replaced, so we have to relight it every other week! Pizza rolls look yummy! Sean's addicted to pepperoni pizza, so I may have to try it! :)
