Welcome to the BBC!
The Beginner Blogger's Club started as an idea that I wanted to start featuring new bloggers. I know how blessed I have been by some of the friends I have made through blogging, and none of that would have happened if I hadn't put myself out there. I had several really awesome bloggers feature me earlier on in my blogging "career" and I am so grateful for that support.
The more I started thinking about the features, the more my little idea grew into a big, month-long series. I contacted my some of favorite seasoned blogger friends to be mentors, answering questions that some of the beginners may have, and also put out a call on Facebook and the blog for new bloggers who might like to be featured. I received an overwhelming response and within 48 hours, I had 20 new bloggers and ten mentors ready and willing to participate! Wow, and thank you!
The series will begin on Monday, April 2 and will continue pretty much every day through the end of April. The first dozen new bloggers who contacted me will be featured during the series, and in May I will begin a regular Friday feature showcasing new bloggers, starting with the eight I wasn't able to feature during the April series.

And here are our featured new bloggers for the month of April (to qualify as a new blogger, they have been blogging for six months or less and/or have less than 100 followers). I will be updating daily to include links to their feature posts.
The Simply Klassic Sundays link party will continue to run each weekend, starting Saturday evenings around 5 pm. On April 29, the link party will also include a special section for you to link up your posts on all things blogging related - your favorite tips & tricks, advice, where you blog, what you've learned or just a general introduction to your blog. It's up to you! So start writing those posts now, so you'll be ready on the 29th! (and by the way, one lucky linker just might win a blog design from yours truly).
THEN, just a little head's up, my big annual birthday giveaway will be happening in May - I've got a bunch of fabulous giveaways lined up of some of my favorite things (some of which I've already featured here on the blog) so get ready!!
Be sure to follow Simply Klassic Home either by Google Friends Connect, Facebook or subscribing in a reader or by email so you won't miss a thing ~ Click one of the links in my sidebar to stay connected!

Hi Kristin!
ReplyDeleteIs it still too late to "get in" the beginner blogger's club? I've been blogging for a few years, but it's mostly been about stuff my family and I do. Just recently I've decided to finally follow my dream and do what I love so I'm trying to turn it into more of a DIY blog... I do have less than 100 followers (I think)... Let me know! Thanks!
Cassi
Can't wait, Kristin :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic line up! This is going to be greatttttttttt!
ReplyDeleteI'm very excited to participate! I've literally been counting down. :)
ReplyDeleteKristin, you are so awesome for doing this! This is one of those series that newbies will be able to read at anytime and get lots of tips and hints! Thank you so much! Can't wait!

ReplyDeleteKristin, I can't wait to read all the great advice and to see the new featured bloggers! I started my blog in Oct. and have been working very hard to get a good following. I'd love to be considered as a candidate in the future :) I'll be following closely! http://www.sewanddipity.com

Hey Kristin! You're a busy girl! I'm looking forward to the mentors blogging series!
ReplyDeleteThank you for doing this. It is an excellent idea and so helpful. Can I pretty please be part of the beginners Friday club running from May. My blog has been 'live' since 12th March and I have fewer than 100 followers. I don't mind how far down the list of people I come...I would be grateful for the opportunity.

ReplyDeleteHey other newbies, why don't we follow each other?
Hi, I am still a blogging novice but LOVE IT! I get so excited about each new follower (even though I don't have 10 yet) it is just so much fun to think of someone else reading what I put out there. I can't wait to learn from this series. Thanks so much!

Another newbie signing on here. Been blogging since January. Great advice from Kim on photos. I need all the help I can get!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea. I've only been blogging since Feb of this year. I just now have 15 wonderful followers. Yippee....I'm grateful for every one of them. I'm eager to stop by here and pick up any tips and tricks of the trade I can.
ReplyDeleteKristin, Thanks so much for this great series. I've been blogging for just over a year and still have so much to learn. I'm so grateful for all the help and encouragement I've received this past year. Bloggers are the best!

Some days I wonder why I blog! No one really seems to read my blog…at least, how do I know if they don't comment.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your adoption story. :-) Very sweet.
I plan to read the tips from your chosen experts. Thank you for putting this together!

This is a great idea. I stumbled upon the series a bit late, but have enjoyed following along and all of the helpful tips offered by the mentors. Like many who've commented, I've been blogging a little less than a year and am slowly growing my audience. I think I'm holding at 48 followers. It's a juggle for sure to balance family life/needs and finding the time to plan and post. If there's ever an extra slot down the line, I'd love to be considered. I'll be following along either way though. Thank you for putting this together and have a great rest of the weekend.
ReplyDeleteMy blogging life is only about two weeks old! Hope I'm not too late! Enjoyed reading the advice from the experts!

Oh no....am I too late? I would love to get on the waiting list :) I have attended 4 of your parties, and have been blogging since February...please let me know if redheadcandecorate.com still has time :) What a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteI have been blogging since Jan 2011 and have 75 followers. I really would like to be on the Newbie list as that is what I still consider myself. Thanks for this series. Learning all the time!
