Every once in a while I like to try something new on the blog. I like reading what my favorite bloggers are into, so I figured I'd try sharing some of my favorite things. I'm calling it "Five on Friday," and hoping it will be a fun way to lead in to the weekend!
Each Friday (I may skip one here or there, 'cause that's how I roll) I will share some top fives with you.
Do you have a top five list? Share it with me! Do you want to know a little more about me? Feel free to suggest a topic for "5 on Friday!"
1. M·A·C 'In Extreme Dimension Lash' Mascara
Melissa shared this a few weeks ago as her new favorite mascara. I thought I'd give it a try and let me tell you, I love it!! It doesn't get clumpy, it goes on smooth, and covers quickly. It also gives your lashes a boost in length. My lashes don't feel cakey either - rather they're soft and flexible, just like the description says. A new favorite!
2. M·A·C Fix+
Remember last week when I shared my Mommy Break tips? I told you that I had been talked into trying out a new product when I had my makeup done. Well, I've tried it out for over a week and I love it. It's a water based "spritz" packed with vitamins and minerals, green tea, chamomile and cucumber light scent. You basically spritz a couple of sprays on your face and it helps to set your makeup in the morning and helps with the dry, cakey look. Spritz throughout the day to refresh your skin. It does seem to help with setting the makeup and making it last longer, and it sure is fun!
Are we noticing a trend? It's true, I'm a MAC girl! I was given a sample of the tinted moisturizer last summer and I fell in love with it immediately. It last FOREVER and is so light. I never wear foundation because I don't like the heavy tight feel on my skin. This moisturizer gives nice coverage and color and evens out my skin without feeling heavy at all.
4. Kevin Murphy Anti Gravity
My hair stylist gave me a sample of this product a couple of months ago, and the next time I was in I bought a bottle. My hair is fine, but there's a lot of it. The product is kind of thick, like a tinted gel, but not sticky, and a little goes a long way. It gives my hair a nice boost of volume and doesn't leave it feeling crunchy, but rather smooth and soft.
5. Eucerin Calming Creme Daily Moisturizer
5. Eucerin Calming Creme Daily Moisturizer
Ok, so I don't know if this is really considered a beauty product, but the Calming Creme is a miracle worker. I learned about it when my infant son was suffering from horrible bouts with excema. I tried a lot of products and this was the only thing that worked! Now in my "old age," I've developed severely dry skin as well and this is the only product I've found, short of using prescription products that offers any relief. The best part is it doesn't feel greasy like a lot of hand creams.
What are your favorite go-to beauty products? I'd love to read your top five! Leave them in the comments. If you have an idea for "Five on Friday," leave that in the comments too!
Thanks for stopping by today; have a great weekend everyone!
