I was cleaning out my pantry, and found this:
Yes, that's right. Eight different (and open) bags of chocolate chips and candies. Let's be clear, in the spirit of keepin' it real, that they weren't all in a box like this. As much as I hate to admit it, this isn't the first time it's happened, either.
There were FOUR different kinds. Which, yes, means there were at least two open bags, if not three, of most.

So what do you do when you have this many bags of chocolate open at once? Make cookies, of course!
Now, this is more of a pre-cursor to the next big organizing project {the pantry} and less of a recipe post, the cookie part is so much more fun.
I simply used the original Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe.
Only instead of two cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips, I used 1/2 cup of each of the four different types of chocolate I found in the pantry.
I've used two different kinds of chocolate but never three, much less four. I was a little unsure about the white chocolate mixed in, but they were actually really delicious.
Now go raid your pantry and make some cookies, because I'm not sharing!

Excellent idea, friend. I wish I hand a handful of those cookies right now!
ReplyDeleteNO Fair ~ those look so good and you won't share...I already have a glass of milk poured and everything....
ReplyDeleteI was just sitting here CRAVING chocolate chip cookies... this did NOT help! They look so delish!
ReplyDeleteI recently cleaned out MY pantry and instead of opened bags of chocolate chips, I found items dating back to Nov. 2008! Gee, I thought I cleaned it more often than that! :) The cookies look delicious!
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm not shocked about the open bags of chips - I have those and unopened ones in my own pantry. I not shocked about the fact that they weren't neatly stacked in a box. What I am shocked about is YOU HAD M&M'S AND DIDN'T EAT THEM????? LOL! No way those go to waste around here - they just go to waist I always end up with too many bags of chips because when I go to bake, I can't remember what I have while at the store, so I pick up more. Maybe I need to bake some cookies this weekend! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing with bags of chocolate chips. When my kids were still living here they would open them and eat right out of the bag! There were always at least 2 or 3 bags sitting in the cupboard. Your cookies and photos are incredible too!
ReplyDeletehahahaha isn't that the case...i always find some random bags of chips and such...what a great use!
