Welcome to day four of It's a Spring Thing! In case you missed the first posts in the party, Cupcakes & Crinoline shared a gorgeous lemon blueberry cake, Dear Lillie shared her amazing dining room all decked out for spring, and My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia shared a fantastic painted scrapwood sign.
Spring is my favorite time of year. There's nothing more soothing than open up the windows and enjoying the fresh spring breeze. I have been enjoying sprucing up my home for spring, and adding fresh flowers is the perfect way to bring spring indoors.

To pull together an easy, affordable, everyday centerpiece for spring, you just need a few fresh elements and a little color. You can also easily pull off the same look with faux elements.

I had my kids help out by picking a bunch of lemons from our tree out back. They helped wash them and dry them and place them in the jar.
You just can't help but smile at bright yellow and white tulips. These beautiful tulips actually came from my local Ralphs grocery store! I divided three bouquets between two mason jars that I'd wrapped with paper doilies and twine.
Of course fresh, spring themed treats are always good to have on hand! I've been on a bit of a baking kick too - I tried out two new recipes over the weekend; I posted them earlier this week (Caramel Stuffed Chocolate Cookies with Coconut MnMs and Semi-Homemade Orange Buttercream Cupcakes). I'll have more delicious (and super easy) recipes in the coming weeks.
Just a few simple touches add a beautiful taste of spring.
So the moral of the post? Simple is beautiful. As long as it makes you smile, that's all that matters!
This post is part of the It's a Spring Thing! blog hop, that will be happening every day through March 17!
