Peanut Butter & Jelly Fruit Dip

Everytime I hear the words Peanut Butter & Jelly, I start singing that song I learned in Girl Scouts…”Peanut, peanut butter – Jelly! First you take the…” I’ll let you fill in the rest.
Anyway, peanut butter is not a staple in our home because of my son’s allergy, but since he had gone to bed early, I thought it would be nice for my daughter and I to share a little snack, since she loves peanut butter.
Here’s what I created for us:
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup cream cheese
1/4 cup of your favorite jelly
a handful of mini chocolate chips (just to keep it interesting – optional)
peanut butter chocolate
Cream the peanut butter and cream cheese together until smooth. This works best if the cream cheese is room temperature, but it’s not necessary.
Add the jelly and combine. Finally, mix in the chocolate chips.
Slice up some apples or bananas, or serve with crackers or pretzels. A sweet, creamy, and very satisfying snack.
