Thanks to Nestle for sponsoring today’s post. All opinions are 100% my own.

This year I’ve developed not just one but two delicious hot chocolate recipes. This one tastes like a Black Forest cake! Rich dark chocolate and sweet cherry flavors blend together for a creamy cup of deliciousness! Only two ingredients are needed to make this yummy drink.

Creamy Cherry Hot Chocolate

Hot milk and Nestle Dark Chocolate Cherry Filled Delightfulls Morsels! That’s it!! Just heat the milk and stir in the morsels. The result is an incredibly rich and creamy cup of hot cocoa that’s ten times better than what you could get from a packet mix. I like to add a little spoonful or two of juice from the Maraschino cherries, too, for just a extra boost of cherry flavor.

Nestle Delightfulls Morsels

The Cherry Morsels are incredibly addicting. Try and refrain from eating them by the handfuls. (or don’t – no judgement here!). They also come in peanut butter, caramel, and mint. If you haven’t tried them yet, you must! If you want to try this recipe, there’s a coupon for 50 cents off a package. (To get the coupon, click the link, then click on PRODUCTS and select any package. The coupon is at the bottom of the page). There are also tons of recipes to try out that are sure to become new family favorites this holiday season.

Ok back to the hot chocolate. It’s crazy easy to make, and you’ll want to make a large batch. Make sure you have some whipped cream and cherries on hand because you can’t have hot chocolate without whipped cream!

If the Delicious chips aren’t available can chopped marischino cherries be used?

The chips add more chocolate flavor than they do cherry. So if you are using regular chocolate chips I think you could add in some maraschino cherries as well.
