Caramel Apple Brownies

I am so excited to share this super special, fun fall treat with you. These Caramel Apple Brownies with a fun surprise inside will surely be a hit!

Caramel Apple Brownies - Delicious fudgy brownies with a Milky Way surprise inside

There is such an easy recipe since it uses packaged brownie mix, but you can certainly use your favorite brownie recipe. I love this brownie recipe from A Pumpkin and a Princess (she uses Milky Ways too!).

Once you’ve prepared the batter, you add a level cookie scoop full of batter to greased muffin cups, then place a candy in the center, followed by another lever scoop of batter.

These are coming to my kids’ birthday party tomorrow, but just for the grown-ups! (*wink)

Ingredients

  • 1 box Brownie Mix Family Size
  • Eggs Water, Oil as directed on the box
  • 12 Milky Way Caramel Apple Minis unwrapped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray muffin cups with cooking spray.
  • Prepare brownie batter according to package instructions.
  • Using a cookie scoop, pour 1 scoop of batter into prepared muffin cups.
  • Place 1 Milk Way Caramel Apple Mini in the center of the batter. Press down gently (you don't want this to sink to the bottom).
  • Pour 1 cookie scoop of batter over the top of the candy.
  • Bake for around 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool for a half an hour, then place in the refrigerator to help set the candy. Allow to come to room temperature before removing from the muffin tins.

    1. Cupcake liners aren’t necessary when you grease the pan, and it’s a personal preference. This wouldn’t work with cake mix – brownies are much more dense and able to hold up the the candy stuffed inside.

    1. Hi Tiffany, this recipe was created a couple of years ago, but I’m pretty sure they are still available. I think I saw them at Target this year.

  1. I have these baking right now but I fear I may have totally messed up ๐Ÿ™
I used a mini muffin pan, I don’t know why I thought that’s what you used but anyway, I suspect they will be very caramelly lol! I’ll keep you posted!

      1. Just wanted to let you know they came out awesome in the mini muffin pan. I made them for school and have been asked when I’m making them again. I used the regular milky way caramels not the apple caramel milky ways. I did see the apple ones at Walmart today though and will try them next time, thanks for an awesome, easy recipe ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I love to bake and am always looking for new things to try.
Can’t wait to give this recipe a try with both candies! Thanks for the recipe!
