Welcome to the Hello Holidays event at Yellow Bliss Road!
We are in major Christmas countdown mode here at the Road with tons of holiday inspiration for Christmas crafts, Christmas gift ideas, and Christmas recipes & treats. I’ve got lots of friends stopping by to share some of their favorite projects and I can’t wait for you to see what they are sharing. Please give a big welcome to Mary Beth!
Hi everyone! I’m Mary Beth from Cupcakes and Crinoline and I am absolutely thrilled to be here today as part of Kristin’s Hello Holidays Series. I wanted to share with you a simple to make burlap and lace berry sack that can be used anywhere around your home for the holidays. Over at C&C I like to share recipes, crafts, DIYs, homemaking tips and more and I would love to have you stop by for a visit.
You may already have most of the supplies you need on hand ~ I used scraps and pieces left from other projects but in case you don’t a list is below.
Supplies:
Piece of pre-washed burlap 4 inches by 12 inches
Lace scrap
Twine
Fiberfill
Key charm
Artificial holly berries
Thread
1. Start with a piece of burlap 4 inches wide by 12 inches long (when folded in half lengthwise this piece is 6 inches long).
2. Sew a 1/4 inch seam allowance on each side of the burlap. Next, sew the lace to the WRONG side of the top. Turn right side out and pull the lace down like a cuff.
3. Stuff with fiberfill, add artificial berries and tie with twine adding your charm before making your final bow.
