Welcome to the Hello Holidays event at Yellow Bliss Road!

Hello Holidays Series plum

For the next three weeks we will be in major Christmas countdown mode here at the Road with tons of holiday inspiration for Christmas crafts, Christmas gift ideas, and Christmas recipes & treats. I’ve got lots of friends stopping by to share some of their favorite projects and I can’t wait for you to see what they are sharing. Please give a big welcome to Kristi & Kelli!

Happy Holidays! We’re happy to be here as Kristin’s guests. We just adore this mama and her style! Today we’re sharing an easy Christmas craft that you can gift for little cost. At Lolly Jane, we share weekly tutorials and go a little crazy for holiday decor. We’re a little obsessed with succulents and mason jars so we decided to switch things up and paint some pots instead of jars. And we added glitter…because crafter’s can never overuse the sparkly stuff! Hope you love these glitter succulent pots!

Supplies:

  • 3 mini terra cotta pots
  • patio paint (we used Splendid Gold + Tuscan Red by Americana)
  • foam brushes
  • decoupage
  • glitter

Directions:

Paint both inside and outside of your pots.

Tip: Painting the inside will prevent fading over time

You can reuse same color brushes when applying decoupage, brush on a thick layer around the top rim.

Generously sprinkle glitter onto decoupage.

Note: We didn’t take a picture (oopsie) but definitely seal the final pots after the glitter is dry. We prefer Krylon Crystal Clear spray, dries fast and holds strong. That’s all there is to it! Grab some succulents from your local home improvement store ($1.98/each) and you have pretty, glittery decor for under five bucks each!

The smaller ones. But you could make these work with a larger size if you wanted.

I absolutely love these little planters. The glitter is just perfect! My girlfriends and I will be making them for a craft night next week! I mentioned them on my blog, hopefully you’ll check it out sometime! SimplyComfy.blogspot.com

I love that this project is so simple, but literally “sparkles” with character! Great idea for the holidays 🙂
