It’s super creamy and sweet, full of crisp, tart green apples, crunchy Twix bars and fluffy marshmallows. The creamy “dressing” is a combination of non-dairy whipped topping (I prefer Tru-Whip) and vanilla pudding.

  1. This same thing happened to me. I used the correct size package. I did use a “generic” brand pudding. Don’t ask me why. My husband was being cheap, I suppose. LOL! Anyway, I thought that maybe that was the reason. It was so thick, it was sticking to the blades of the mixer, and after I folded in the whipped topping, my kids said it looked like chunks of egg yolk were mixed into the cool whip.
I also thought it could be from the amount of milk. Usually pudding calls for 2 cups I thought.
Anyway, I don’t know what the reason was behind it. It could’ve been any of those, I guess. All in all, my entire family enjoyed the dessert, and I was happy to use up a bunch of mini twix sticks from fheir Easter baskets. Both my husband and my son, quickly realized the importance of using the granny smith apples tho. They said it would be way to sweet, had that tartness not been present.

  2. These r terrific ideas. But am on WW points points program. And need to know calorie count. Will need 2 make adjustments for fat content.

  3. When I mixed the pudding mix and milk it was super thick and wouldn’t blend with the whipped topping. What did I do wrong?

  4. can this be made the night before? It is for a luncheon. so that would be about 12 hours before serving.

    1. I did see where you said no to making it the night before because the apples would brown. so how about if the rest was put together except putting the apples in?

  5. 6. Oh my goodness!!!! This. Looks. Amazing!! I don’t see a lot of fruit salads that look good because of the creamy element. But this….looks like something I could devour…especially with the Twix!!!
