LoA couple of weeks ago, we hosted a super fun Disney FROZEN inspired Snow Party! My kids each invited a couple of friends and it was a blast!
If you haven’t yet seen the movie, you must go. Like, NOW. I personally think this is my favorite Disney movie EVER. The music was amazing, the scenes breathtaking and beautiful, and it was funny and smart in all the right places. It’s about love and finding love and realizing that love may have been there along and that comes in many forms and from many people. It’s not your typically boy meet girl princess movie, that’s for sure. It was just beautiful.
Anyway, back to the party.
The first thing I did was head to Walmart to grab supplies and some FROZEN inspiration. I picked up a couple of dolls (Anna and Elsa), as well as miniature figurines, coloring books, and story books from the Walmart toy section. My kids were thrilled! While I was there I picked up supplies to make our Snowball Playdough party favors and all the food we would need to create a snowy dessert table. The FROZEN collection added some pretty color to our winter wonderland.
On the day of the party, I set the scene with the dessert table, filled with Snowball Cookies, Snowball Marshmallows (marshmallows dipped in white chocolate and white sugar crystal sprinkles), and of course snow-capped cupcakes! “Snow” corn added a little savory to balance out the sweet.
The background is simply a leftover piece of wainscoting and a simple “snowball” cotton ball garland.
For our table, I made a simple Paper Snowflake Table Runner. To go along with our FROZEN theme, I placed each of the figurines in “Snow” (epsom salt) filled mason jars atop a “snow” filled tray. And then had to keep my kids from taking them out to play with them until after the party!
Our friends arrived and we they had fun just playing with each other. We had a paper “snowball” fight (crumpled up computer paper) and ate pizza for dinner.
Of course the night ended with us all munching on our delicious snow capped cupcakes!
As our guests got ready to head home, they each were given a small jar of snowball playdough as a party favor. (Click on the link to get the playdough recipe and free printable).
What a fun time we had and I can’t wait to do it again!

How did you make the marshmallows ? Such a creative idea.
I melted white chocolate candy melts and dipped the marshmallows in the melted chocolate. They were super yummy!
I would like to know what the pearlized drops are on top of your cupcakes. They are very pretty and would love to try to re-create these.
They are sprinkles. They can be find in the cake decorating aisle at the grocery store or party stores.
hi were doc you get the frozen figurines from that goes in the centerpieces ..
Hi Nichole, They were part of a figurine pack I got at Walmart. I believe you can still get them there.
Where did you purchase your snowball playdough containers?
The glass ones are ball jars that you can get at Target or Walmart. But when I actually gave them out I used small plastic containers (like GLAD brand).
These are absolutely fabulous ideas but I have to add one more. I just had a Frozen party for my 5 year old Hannah. We invited character lookalikes Elsa and Anna from a company out of Atlanta called Look alikes and Characters Entertainment!
I was THRILLED with their Elsa and Anna lookalikes! I felt we stepped right into the movie these girls were so gorgeous and perfect! My daughter Hannah thought they were the real deal. I was so impressed with the performances of these girls as The Snow Queen and Princess from the movie Frozen! Elsa came out first and performed Let it Go! Then Anna came out with Elsa and together they performed For the First Time in Forever. I loved the themed games and activities! They even invited the girls to come up and sing Let it Go from the movie Frozen with microphone and music. I would definitely recommend this company especially Elsa and Anna look alikes!
You gave away snowball playdough as a party favor! How fun!
