Optional garnishes: Whipped cream, extra chopped mango, mint sprig.
In a blender, combine the mango, icecream and milk.
Pulse and blend until smooth, adding more milk until desired consistency is reached.
Pour milkshake into shake glasses and serve.
Using fresh, fully ripe (almost over ripe) mango is best. Personally, I prefer this recipe with half fresh and half frozen but it’s fully possible to make it with just fresh or frozen.It is very important not to use an unripe mango as the milkshake will be sour and it may even cause the milk to slightly curdle. When using frozen, there is a bit more tartness. You will need to use just a tad more milk if you choose frozen.
