Every day there is something to celebrate. Your fifth grader got straight A’s; your Kindergartner got a touchdown in his first football game; your preschooler counted to twenty. No matter what the reason, it’s time to celebrate!
When my kids have something special or exciting happen in their lives, I want to celebrate with something fun. What’s more fun than a pizza party?? I love to surprise them with special things when they least expect it, like when they get home from school, or when they wake up in the morning.
While pizza is generally a low cost meal option, this new Pizzeria Style Pizza from Tony’s is a great budget friendly choice. My kids love it, and I especially love that I was able to pick up two Tony’s Pizzas on a recent trip to Walmart for under $4 with this $0.75 coupon. I’ll admit, even I was pleasantly surprised by how good this pizza tasted.
While the delicious pizza is the main attraction, there needs to be plenty of supporting acts, like veggies with ranch, and of course their favorite fruit pizzas for dessert!
To make the fruit pizzas, bake some round sugar cookies. Use my favorite sugar cookie recipe or take the easy route and buy the break apart ones. Spread some frosting on top – again, do easy and grab a can of whipped white frosting – or make your own. Dice up some fruit nice and small, and top the pizzas with the fruit. I used strawberries and some frozen blueberries.
My kids love them, and I bet yours will too! It’s also a fun activity that they can do themselves.
Of course no celebration is complete without decorations – but you don’t have to go all out. Grab a few paper napkins and made a festive and colorful garland to add a little fun to your table.
It’s incredibly easy and can be made in under fifteen minutes. Just cut equal strips from the paper napkins. I had two different sized napkins so I just cut them to be the same length. Next tie the strips onto a long piece of string or twine, and hang it up. Super easy, and has a nice, festive impact.
A mini pizza party is a great way to help your children feel special and to celebrate their everyday accomplishments.Tony’s Pizza makes it easy, and it’s definitely something I would buy again!
