My favorite flavor combo for fall is cranberry and apples. I love the mix of tart and sweet. These Cranberry Apple Cake Mix Cookies are so easy and yummy – I can wait for you to try them!

We finally had some fabulous fall weather this past weekend. In fact, it’s stormy today! (Well, as stormy as Southern California can get). This kind of weather really puts you in the mood for cozy boots and blankets, fires in the fireplace, hot chocolate, and of course fall baking!

My kids love having cookies (what kid doesn’t??) and they love finding that little treat in their lunchboxes. I love to bake, and I love to bake from scratch, but sometimes just don’t have a ton of time which is cake mix cookies are perfect for us! They are super easy to make and easy to adjust for flavors and mix-ins.

We, my hubby & I love the cookies. I was hungry for some Apple & Craisin Cookies & came across your recipe..VERY good and EASY!!
The only thing I did wrong, which turned out “OK”, was when I read, “use a cookie scoop”, I didn’t have a clue what that was, so I used an ice cream scoop. Then I realized I would not have many cookies that way, so I ‘asked’ Wilton. The next 2 batches, I used my Melon Baller. Just the perfect size!! Thank you so much for all your wonderful recipes..I plan to make them ALL, soon!!

Thank you for the comment Joy! So glad you enjoyed these. I think either size would be fine. You could also just use a spoon and make evenly sized balls of dough.

  2. Leslie Stevens says:

Do do you use fresh or dried cranberries(ocean spray craisens?) for this recipe?

    1. Kristin says:

The recipe calls for dried cranberries. Sorry if that wasn’t clear. I made a change to reflect that. 🙂
