How To Make Huli Huli Chicken Wings
See the recipe card below for full, detailed instructions
These wings are packed with incredible flavor and simple to make! Be the hit at your next party and bring over a double-batch because you know they are going to disappear!
Preheat the oven to 450°F. Line a large baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Spray the rack with cooking spray.
Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper in a large bowl.

Pat the wings as dry as possible using paper towels. Toss the wings in the flour mixture, coating them evenly. Shake off excess flour and arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Lightly spritz the tops with cooking spray.

Bake for 20 minutes, flip, then bake for another 15-20 minutes until crispy, browned, and fully cooked.

While the wings bake, whisk all sauce ingredients together in a small saucepan until smooth. Bring to a boil and let it bubble for 1 minute, then remove from heat. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

When the wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl and toss with the warm sauce until evenly coated and glossy. Garnish with chopped cilantro and pineapple slices.

Storage Tips
The Best Way to Store Leftovers
Storage & Reheating: Wings are best fresh, but will keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in an air fryer on a lower setting or in a 375°F oven on a wire rack to prevent burning the sauce.
Recipe Tips
- Using Whole Wings? If you can’t find pre-sectioned wings, you can cut them yourself. Remove the tips and separate the flat from the drumette at the joint. You can use whole wings, but they cook less evenly and are harder to coat in sauce.
- Crispy Wing Tips: Ensure the wings are in a single layer with space between them, and use a wire rack to allow air circulation for even crisping.
