Why I Love This Meal

  • Quick and easy – I can whip this whole meal up in less than 30 minutes.
  • Adaptable – I used french bread for the base but you could just as easily use a store-bought pizza dough. Or swap out the ground beef for ground turkey or chicken.
  • Kid Friendly – Almost all kids seem to love sloppy joes, and us grown-ups get all nostalgic for it. It’s a win-win!

How to Make Sloppy Joe Pizza

See recipe card below for ingredient quantities and full instructions.

  • Preheat the oven to 350℉ and line a sheet pan with foil.
  • Slice a french bread loaf in half lengthwise and place the halves side by side on the baking sheet.
  • Saute onion and bell pepper in olive oil until soft, then crumble in some ground beef and cook until no longer pink.
  • Stir in the sloppy joe sauce and heat through.
  • Spread the meat mixture onto the french bread halves from end to end then top with cheese.
  • Bake until the cheese is bubbly, garnish with fresh parsley and rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Storing Leftovers

If you have leftovers, store in a resealable bag or airtight container for 2-3 days. Reheat in the oven or an air fryer until heated through.
