I created the printable Scripture Tree nearly 6 years ago and it’s still popular during the holiday season. Here is a photo of the original:

I have been thinking the past few Christmases that the original design feels a little dated, so I gave it a little makeover with fresh colors and fonts. Of course one print just wasn’t enough so I updated the design into a chalkboard print, too. Then I started playing around with it even more and came up with an updated design that I think I love even more!

If you’d still like to download the original, you can do that HERE. All designs are free for personal use only. I do not give permission for my design to be recreated or sold in any way.

HOW TO USE FREE CHRISTMAS PRINTABLES:

  • Print them out on 8 ½ x 11-inch cardstock. Trim to fit an 8×10-inch frame and hang on your wall or stand up on table for display.
  • Reduce size to fit on half a page, print on cardstock and fold in half to create DIY Christmas cards.
  • Print several to a page, cut out to use as Christmas tags. Just punch a hole at the top and loop a ribbon through to attach to gifts.

Tools needed for this project:

You may need one or more of these tools to help in printing and creating the projects described above:

Color printer – This device offers beautiful color printer on a variety of paper sizes, mobile printing (from your mobile device), scanning and copying and much more!

Cardstock – A heavier paper is my first choice when printing anything for display, gift tags and cards or tags.

Sharp scissors – needed for cutting cardstock, especially when cutting into shapes for cards and tags.

Paper Trimmer – Helpful when trimming to size, especially from 8 ½ x 11-inch paper.

  1. I love this so much! I printed the classic red and green and framed it for Christmas this year. I was wondering if I can have it printed onto canvas for a needlepoint pillow. I have found someone who will do it, I think, but wanted to get your permission first.

    1. As long as you aren’t selling for profit, I suppose you could do that, but the person making it might have to consider that it’s a copyrighted image.

  2. These are great! I’m planning to use them as the insides of Christmas cards. They are beautiful and I’m sure the senior living community we are making the cards for will appreciate your designs! Thank you and Merry Christmas!

  6. Thank you SO much for this printable! My husband and I just moved from one Middle Eastern country to another and don’t have a Christmas tree. This will look lovely on our wall with some lights around it and be a wonderful discussion starter with our neighbors. You are a blessing!

  14. A vinyl version of this is for sale today here: http://www.fingersnapper.com/

  18. Thank you for the beautiful printable. I love it and had been searching for something I could use on my fireplace mantle which I do a half wall tree over in angels in memory of my mom whom I lost just over a year ago. Mom was a collector of angels and I thought this tree just would be the best memorial of her during the Christmas Season her favorite time of the year.

  44. This is a silly question I’m sure. But when I prin this it is off center to the right a bit. The trees last 2 lines are cut off a bit so there isn’t a perfect triangle. What am I doing wrong? How can I fix this? I’d like to have this framed next to our advent wreath.
    Thanks!

  49. Thank you for sharing this! I saw some carol titles and “ho ho ho” shaped like a tree on a vinyl cling last night at Walmart. I took a picture with my phone for a general idea, but wanted to come up with something for one from Scripture. You have done an amazing job…so now I don’t have to struggle through trying to come up with something! Thank you again! I have signed on as your newest follower and I’ll be back! 🙂
