Garlic Bread Chex Mix 20

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a nice big slice of garlic bread with a spaghetti dinner. But let’s face it, it’s not exactly a healthy snack. Cut to this Garlic Bread Chex Mix. It’s full of crunch from the Chex cereal and pretzels, and it’s coated in a buttery, garlicky, Parmesan-y mix that adds a delicious, intense flavor.

I was grocery shopping at my local Vons the other day, and as I shopped I was trying to come up with snack ideas for my kids. I was getting a serious craving for garlic bread as I passed the bakery on the way to the cereal aisle. I saw the General Mills â„¢ Chex Cereal and immediately this idea for Garlic Bread Chex Mix popped into my head. I grabbed a couple boxes of cereal and headed home to whip up this delicious snack mix.

I’m always looking for a quick snack idea that will satisfy my picky kids. This Chex Mix recipe couldn’t be easier. The cereal and pretzels are coated with a mixture of melted butter, dried basil, dried parsley, granulated garlic and Parmesan cheese.

Then it’s baked in the oven for about 10 minutes to seal in all the flavor. That’s it – takes less than 20 minutes from start to finish, and it’s a great snack to have for your hungry kiddos when they get home from school.

  1. Hello, what are we supposed to do with the olive oil? Does it get mixed in with the butter or do we use it to grease the pan?
