This Cheesy Bacon Ranch Dip (AKA “Crack Dip”) is delicious when you’re craving a salty snack, and it’s perfect for game day!
And when I say “Game Day” I mean hockey, because that’s the sport of choice in our house. But no matter what your favorite team or sport, this super easy dip is sure to be a real winner at your next game day party.
My favorite, aside from the absolute deliciousness, is how easy it is to make. Cook a few extra sliced of bacon next time, and force yourself not to eat them. Chop it up and toss it in a bowl with a container of sour cream, a cup of cheddar cheese and a packet of Ranch dip mix. Stir it up and let the flavors marry together for at least an hour until it gets nice and thick. Or if you just can’t wait, you can go ahead and enjoy it right away.
Did you know that cheese is the number 2 source of calcium? Milk is number one of course, but with cheese being number two, it’obvious that this dip, with all it’s cheesy goodness is good for you! (right?? LOL). We go through a crazy amount of cheese and yogurt around here, making dairy is a huge part of our diet. It’s loaded with calcium, potassium, protein, and vitamin A among many other important nutrients that keep the body in optimum health. When purchasing dairy products, I look to buy products with the REAL® Seal, which lets me know that I am buying products with the wholesome goodness of the U.S.-produced cow’s milk.
Perfect with veggies, chips, crackers, bagel chips, breadsticks…I could go on. As soon as I was finished taking these photos, this was my lunch. Dip – it’s not just an appetizer anymore.
